The background has lots of 'merry christmas' text objects that are created in a particle system and flash as they interact with the main 3d text. All in red with a light to give that christmassy feel, and all text, lights, colours can be changed to whatever you want.

This templates start with the camera at a side angle framing the whole scene with depth of field making the whole scene blurred. The camera pulls in and un-blurs to a front view of the whole scene and then moves to frame each dropzone one after another finally framing the whole scene again followed by a return to the start framing. All the dropzones are in picture frames to give the appearance of pictures on a wall and all cast shadows and reflections to give a full 3d scene. A ring expands like a ripple and the 1st dropzone fades in above it, an arc writes on and off again with an arrow head and comes out of the centre dropzone and lands out to the side setting off another set of rings and another dropzone. This is repeated 3 more times with the arcs rotating 90 degrees each time to form a complete 360 degree shape, the rings fade out as the next arc appears . The camera is rotating slowly during this animation to give a bit of movement to the scene, the last object to animate in is the text layer.
